Vascular disease is as common as cancer and heart disease. It affects more than 4 million people in the UK alone and accounts for 200,000 preventable deaths per year. Vascular disease can affect anyone at any time. It is a devastating and debilitating disease; the warning signs can lie dormant for years.
The Circulation Foundation is the UK’s only national charity dedicated to raising money for pioneering research into the causes, prevention and treatment of vascular disease. We also provide vital support and information for vascular disease patients and their families.
The Foundation was founded in 1992 by Professor Sir Peter Bell and Mr Tony Chant, both vascular surgeons who recognised that there was no charity whose sole concern was with the vascular (circulatory) system and vascular disease as a whole. They established the Circulation Foundation to satisfy a growing need in this important and under-funded medical field.
The Circulation Foundation produces a series of information leaflets which encompasses all major diseases of the veins and arteries, please see our patient information section or contact us to place an order.
Please help us to stamp out vascular disease by making an online donation today.
