Further updates from the London marathon

Last Sunday was an incredible experience, one that I will never forget.  Despite doing a lot less training due to a knee injury and having to unexpectedly replace my trainers 3 weeks before the event, I finished!!

I think my dad was in my head all the way round the route.  Knowing that I was running for him, gave me a huge sense of pride.

I love my dad to bits and anyone who has been fortunate enough to meet my Dad, will know that he is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, caring men you could ever wish to meet. A wonderful man of few words, with the most enormous heart!!

Last year, Dad wasn't 100% and he had lots of tests and investigations. It was discovered that Dad had coronary artery disease and needed an angioplasty procedure. A stent was fitted into the artery to help with the flow of blood. Thanks to this procedure, Dad is now leading a normal life and far less breathless.

I cannot begin to thank you all enough for giving me the opportunity to run for The Circulation Foundation. A dream come true for sure!!
