New Chair of the Circulation Foundation
The Circulation Foundation would like to welcome Mr Ian Franklin as the newly elected Chair of the charity. He has supported the Foundation for a number of years with fundraising initiatives; serving on the Circulation Foundation Committee for the past year.
Mr Franklin is a vascular surgeon and a leading specialist in vascular and endovascular surgery. He has performed the highest volume of VNUS Closure® procedures in the UK (over 650) and is the Lead UK Trainer for this procedure.
Mr Franklin holds an academic post at the Imperial College Faculty of Medicine as Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and is active in research. He has published numerous scientific papers, book chapters and books, and is a dedicated teacher and trainer within medical school and in post-graduate training programmes.
Mr Franklin qualified at St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London. Outside of work he enjoys skiing, sailing and fundraising for Circulation Foundation.
