Covid-19 update

The Circulation Foundation is run by vascular surgeons, consultants and nurses; as they are currently all working to treat patients the Foundation is unable to answer any clinical queries. However, there is a lot of information on our website https://circulationfoundation.org.uk/help-advice

If you are worried about your illness, or a possible diagnosis please contact your GP. Although many GP practices are not holding face to face appointments, many are holding telephone or Facetime appointments.

The situation is rapidly changing so please respect the current advice from the NHS and the Government. For more information click here https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Social Distancing and Self-Isolation

Limiting your interactions with others is a key message we are hearing from those Doctors working with Covid-19 patients and the Government. Please follow this link for more information. Please stay home and do not meet up with friends and family in person.

This is a video from the BBC showing how to setup Video calls so that you can still see your families and friends. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-51968122 This is a measure we can all take to help ourselves and help our NHS.

Hand Washing

Washing your hands will kill the virus. Wash frequently with soap and water for at 20 seconds, making sure that you reach all parts of your hand, fingers and thumbs. This is a video which may help. Rachel Retweeted this from Philip Boucher Hayes pair of hands in gloves with black ink showing how to spread it like you would with soap

Keep Moving

Whilst it is not easy, try to do some exercise at home. Keeping mobile is important. There are many places on the internet that you can access home based exercise. These links give some ideas, but make sure you are looking at the right exercise for you!

And for those of us who remember the Green Goddess, Diana Moran, she will be on BBC Breakfast TV with her exercise segments at around 6.55am and 8.55am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Take care, look after yourselves, stay at home, wash your hands, use tissues, keep moving and adhere to NHS and Government Advice

Even if you cannot get out, maintaining your mobility is so important, there are lots of home based exercises.
